Hart Classics Transport Show 2026

Things have been busy over the last couple of years. Not only have I been writing but I'm also on a committee that runs the Hart Classics Transport Show, a show which hosts classic cars, motorbikes and commercial vehicles and raises money for the Hants and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIWAA).

Having raised over £2,000 for HIWAA in 2025 when we were based in a field which was part of Twesledown racecourse, we are switching venues for 2026. This is not due to any problem with the venue or the lovely ladies who lease the racecourse and the field from the Ministry of Defence to use the field. Despite all of the money raised going to charity, the MoD treated us the same as any commercial enterprise and charged us far too much to use the field, so its time to move.

The Elvetham hotel just outside Hartley Wintney has offered us a lovely field and the show is on for 2026 - so put the date, 21st June 2026 , in your diary. It should be a super day and we are expecting over 200 entrants, and 1,000 or so visitors. There will be live bands, various trade stands, a bar, food stalls as well as prizes for the entrants and a raffle. And visitors can amble up to the hotel and have a drink, snacks or a meal there as well. So it should be a fun day for all the family.

And as a start of the marketing, Henry Allaway from Universal Classic Car (see universalclassiccarsstorage.com) set up a photoshoot at the site, bringing along along a selection of classic and supercars. I tagged along in the Lotus to make the shoot less classy, and here are a few of my pictures from the shoot.

So here are an assorment of cars, including a Bentley, a Jaguar C type, Ferrari Testarossa, Porsche, Aston Martin DB5 in classic James Bond silver. And a few shots of my Plus 2 sneaking into the day!
